Track Name: Elevator
I'm not an elevator
I can not lift you off the ground
I'm not a elevator
I can not pick you up when you are down

You live in the basement
Clad in rags soaked in greases and oils
Light? There's not a trace, man
So your skin's covered in festering boils

I live in the penthouse
Festooned in silk pajamas and spats
Gold guilds every surface
I got a swimming built just for my cats

I can't take you to the executive suite
if you can't even pick get yourself back on your feet
You've sunk low, so low

I'm not an elevator
You cannot push my buttons down
Oh, my cable's come unwound
Just let the doors close and don't make a sound

Track Name: Enough
Hey girl, let me rob your home
Hey girl, let met let you walk home alone
Hey girl let me borrow your phone
I've got to threaten somebody that you don't want to know

I don't think she thinks I love her enough
I don't think she thinks I think I love her enough, enough

Hey girl, let me drive your car
I"ll do my best not to set it on fire
Hey girl do a favor for me
You've got to sneak this package through security

I don't think she thinks I love her enough
I don't think she thinks I think I love her enough, enough

Clean sheets, bleach, bottles of lotion
Do we need these?
No no no no no we don't
These things could be explained carefully
But you don't want to know

Come on in have a drink and relax
I've got to pop into the basement and chop something up with an axe
Don't worry if you hear some screams
After tonight you'll be the only girl for me

I don't think she thinks I love her enough
I don't think she thinks I think I love her enough, enough

Track Name: Force Quit
five at last
empty the trash
turn down the heat
ride the elevator
down to the craters in the street

inspirational quotes
in illegible script
on sticky notes
take your pick
but the memories are lost
you can't just turn it off
and back on again

mumbled phrases
like rats in mazes
a liquid crystal telephone nightmare
colored wires
we set on fire
force quit
love was all undone

when we started out
couldn't get enough
wrapped together like a cord and a receiver
but now when she calls me I can barely hear her through the static and such

forgot our math
froze up and flashed
and like a penny on a railroad track
we looked on terror
as one tiny error
caused a terminal crash

tangles of cords
connected to
things we can't afford
and things we miscontrued

don't read the warnings
just click 'okay'
these things are boring
full of dust and putty gray

windows were missed
keyboard, meet fist
say what you mean exactly
I can never get the gist

now I am zero
once I was one
force quit
our love was all undone

Track Name: The Man Who Laughed Out Loud
We were ready when the waters came to hide the land and swallow the trees. Prepared ourselves with makeshift boats and bags of sand. We could hardly believe. Now I'm on a train with a pen and a brain that's thinking of you and the nights you went out with the man who laughed out loud, in a crowd.

Careful now, the ground's still wet. Think of the rain from the rain's point of view. Despite all my best intent think of the man that I turned in to. And now I'm drowning, my life is amounting to cardboard and drought and you're always out with the the man who laughed out loud in a crowd.

And I'm floating away, I'm floating away. And I'm holding your place, I'm holding a place for you, it's the least I could do.

-Jeff Badger
